Required documents and information for Patent / Petty patent application in Thailand
01 Description, Claim(s) , Abstract, (if any) Drawings
【Deadline to submit Thai translation】
1.1  (In case of claiming priority through Paris convention) : It can be submitted within 90 days from filing date in Thailand.
1.2  (In case of no-claiming priority through Paris convention) : It cannot be extended.
1.3  (In case of entering the PCT application into the national phase in the Thailand) : It cannot be extended.
02 Information of application (such as applicant, inventor etc.)
03 Power of Attorney (Notarization is required)
  • It can be submitted within 90 days from filing date in Thailand.
04 Deed of Assignment (Notarization is NOT required)
  • It can be submitted within 90 days from filing date in Thailand.
  • In case of entering the PCT application into the national phase in Thailand, and information of application for national phase in Thailand is same as international application, Deed of Assigment is NOT required.)
(In case of claiming priority through Paris convention)
05 Priority information (Priority number, Priority date, Priority country)
06 Priority certificate
  • It can be submitted within 16 months from priority date and before publication of application in Thailand.
  • In case of entering the PCT application into the national phase in the Thailand, priority certificate is NOT required to submit.

Required documents and information for Design application in Thailand
01 Drawings or photos of design product presenting 7 views including 6 side views and one of perspective view of the design product. Reference drawings such as sectional view is not inapplicable.
02 Information of application (such as applicant, creator etc.)
03 Claim(s)
  • Thai translation can be submitted within 90 days from filing date in Thailand.
04 Description of the designed product (within 100 Thai words).
  • Submission is optional.
  • Thai translation can be submitted within 90 days from filing date in Thailand.
05 Power of Attorney (Notarization is required)
  • It can be submitted within 90 days from filing date in Thailand.
06 Deed of Assignment (Notarization is NOT required)
  • It can be submitted within 90 days from filing date in Thailand.
(In case of claiming priority through Paris convention)
07 Priority certificate
  • It can be submitted before publication of application in Thailand.
08 Priority information (Priority number, Priority date, Priority country)
